Born at home in 1966, I was always around both my Grandparents dogs on a regular basis, until we moved out of London in Easter 1968.  In the first 3 photo’s below, are dogs that both my Grandparents had previously owned. The other photos show the dogs that I can actually remember.

I’ve always loved GSD’s from a very early age & dreamed of having my own one day.

1936 Tiger

My Nan & Grandad Notcutt with his dog.

The dog would go to the shop, money in mouth & buy a paper. I can remember this photo from a very early age.

1938 Pat

My Nan & Grandad Maltwood’s dog.

My Grandad bred from her in the 1930's.

As a child, my uncle remembers this dog with about 6 puppies.

Just before war broke out, she & the sole unsold pup were “rehomed” to a farmer up North for their safety.

1961 Sally

She was the Notcutt family dog.

Here she is enjoying the bottom of an ice cream cone with my Nan.

I used to do the same thing to my Nan, when I was older. Break off the bottom of the cone & scoop some ice cream in to it.

1967 Ricky

This is the first dog that I  can actually remember from a young age.

He belonged to my Nan & Grandad Maltwood.

Here he is with my Brother & I on holiday Easter 1967 at Dovercourt.

1980 Ben

My Nan’s neighbour used to look after her son’s dog whilst he was at work.

1985 2 GSD’s

This was taken outside the visitor centre at The Thames Barrier.

1988 Tess

Owned by friend’s of my parents, Maurice & Rita.

1990’s Jade

This lovely belonged to my youngest uncle, George.

She was a lovely dog.
