Agioi Anargyroi - The Chapel
Location: Protaras Cyprus
This stunning location, a white mosaic placed against the backdrop of the Mediterranean blue sea. During the early 1980’s, the Christian Orthodox church built this small chapel on the edge of the rock, in order to show respect to three saints that spend most of their lives in a rock cave underneath.
On many occasions my late Husband & I went scuba diving here whilst on holiday in Cyprus. He loved it so much that he wanted his ashes scattered here.
This superb wall dive begins at the Chapel, where you can descend a stairway. It’s then a giant stride into a world of wonder. Here you may see sponges, underwater vegetation, different kinds of scorpion fish and other local fish. Octopi and other nocturnal species are common sights during a night dive. The depth can be between 15 and 30 meters, depending on the objective of the dive.
