In November 2008 both Baxter & I attended a graduation day at PDS. It was the first time that Baxter had returned after his operation. We were awarded a Certificate of Courage & inspiration totally unexpected.

Jan / Feb 2009

Baxter’s den at PDS, gave him space & a secure environment without being in the back of my car.

This allowed him to still be part of the training sessions but at a distance he could cope with.We continued to build up his confidence at training over the coming weeks. It was a much slower process than before.

Snow - Baxter loved the stuff.

Spring 2009

I changed the layout of my garden, so to be more friendly for Baxter to walk on.

I also bought a “Doggie” back-pack to aid his exercise programme.

Summer 2009

After a weeks holiday in Cyprus, I returned to find that Baxter had a lump on his front left lower leg. Following as visit to the Vets, it turned out to be that a screw had become loose.

October 2009

The loose screw was removed from his left leg & we returned home.

December 2009

Baxter had started to lick his groin area, resulting in a total lose of fur in that area which seemed sore.

Following a visit to the vets, after several courses of steroids, I was advised to give him Evening prime rose oil tablets. This did help to a degree. After some research, I found the following item, ‘Pet Nat - Dermacton cream’ which worked a treat.
